"Mogen David" (8" - 15.25 cm diameter) is hexagramatic, and when executed in DMC® #10 Cébélia, White makes a good kippah. |
My doily, "Penrosette" (11" - 28 cm diameter) is based on the famous tessellating Penrose tiles. It consists of only two motifs; "kite" and "dart". They can be combined in infinite variety. Note that there are intersections of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 motif vertices. I use special homemade picot gauges shown on the Miscellany page. DMC® #100 Cordonnet, White. |

Just completed April 21, 1999, this is my latest design; "Snowflake". It consists of three different snowflake wheels arranged in a large (11" - 28 cm diameter) snowflake pattern. As with "Penrosette", the homemade picot gauges, shown on the Miscellany page, are critical to the execution. DMC® #100 Cordonnet, White. |
