DUODECETTE, ©1998 Dan Rusch-FischerRound 1 - Use shuttle and ball threads, R 3, make a large picot (7/32" between knots before pushing them together on the ball thread, 3 DS, close, turn, Ch 3, R 2-2-2-2 (make picots 5/32"), close, Ch 3, turn, R 3 join to large picot on the first ring, 3 DS, close. Repeat per diagram joining last chain to 1st ring.
Round 2 - R 2-2-2-2, close, turn, Ch 5, join to outermost picot of one of the R 2-2-2-2's of Round 1, Ch5, turn, R 2-2-2-2, close, turn Ch 5, R 3, join to next picot of same ring from Round 1, 2, join to adjacent picot of next ring from Round1, 3, close, Ch 5, repeat per diagram, join last Ch 5 to base of 1st ring made.
Round 3 - Using a 40" length of thread on a needle, start at top of jewelry finding and make 4 tatting knots, join to an outermost picot of Round 2, make 12 knots and join to next ring per diagram, finish with 4 knots, finish ends and mount completed eardrop on either an earwire or earpost.
