Patented by Lauren Pelc March 17, 1998 and remanufactured for Lacis from the Susan Bates® shuttle by impressing two additional sets of bosses for bobbins. One or the other of the two bobbins tend to be loose; this would not be the case if there were a center post as shown on the original patent drawing.
