Justrite - Nickel Plated Brass

Nickel-plated brass, the Justrite shuttle was patented May 1, 1923 by Hamitage L. Richardson of Sebrinville, Ontario Canada. The shuttle separates into two halves to facilitate loading thread on the bobbin (see Justrite Replica for illustration). There were several incarnations of manufacture; two of which are shown above. Purchased from Michelle Lee of Patterns from the Past 1999.
